At 5 Oceans Diving, we take pride in tackling complex underwater repairs with precision, safety, and innovation. Our latest project involved a rudder seal overhaul, carried out entirely underwater with the support of custom-designed habitats.
Our team designed and installed a custom habitat method creating a safe and dry environment for the work ahead.
Once the habitats were secure, divers began removing the seal housing and replaced the old seals by bonding. Our technicians worked closely with the Neuver seal engineer and the vessel’s superintendent to agree on a solution that would maintain operational safety and class requirements.
Once new seals were tested and confirmed in good condition, our team re-installed the seal assembly without any delays. This project once again demonstrates our ability to combine technical expertise, innovation, and teamwork to achieve the best results for our partners in the maritime industry.
